Wood in an interior is very elegant and sculpture brings an additional unique personality to it. It finds its place everywhere! Brings warmth and naturalness in a world that is far too synthetic, uniform, cold and soulless! Homes all similar, from north to south, from east to west. No difference, no singularity; so much so that it can happen that we no longer know where we are!
Wood can be worked, stained, waxed, brushed, varnished, burned etc … Each piece of wood is unique like our fingerprints! It is the product of nature and not that of a laboratory or any industry! A thousand-year-old construction material! Which remains alive in the literal sense by reacting to light (UV), temperature, humidity and more. It is durable, our heritage bears witness to this!
Its details, its color, are revealed differently depending on the light and the angle of observation. depending on how it ages! What so-called “modern” interior, what decoration will be able to evolve as much, live, will be as unique as with wood?! It is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator.
For my part, I think that sculpture is to wood, what whipped cream is to strawberries! Don’t forget your share of whipped cream! It’s better with it!
