Shou Sugi Ban

In addition to the wood carvings and other wood arts that I offer; I use an ancestral Japanese technic the “Shou Sugi Ban / Yakisugi”. This technic is natural, and has many advantages. Wood is more resistant to: insects, fungi, humidity, ultraviolet rays, fire. It also gets a radically different look! Some retain the appearance of carbonization, others brush the wood after burning. The grain of the wood then stands out in a very pronounced way.
