Pedalboard for guitarist

posted in: Studio Furniture

I made this pedalboard for a studio / home / rehearsal group oriented application. Most of the time, a pedalboard is on the floor. The pedals being intended for use at the foot for their activation / deactivation. But with regard to the settings, standing or sitting; you have to bend down to reach them. Outside, in the studio, at home or in a group and as soon as possible; a bit of comfort while sitting is always welcome.

By having the effects at hand height, the search for the ideal setting becomes much more comfortable. The dimensions of this pedalboard are height 61.5 cms, width 73 cms, depth 51 cms, the inclination of the upper plate is 15°. The latter is pierced with 9 holes allowing the passage of the power cables. The format of the pedalboard and the distribution of these allows to have the pedals easily. The multi-plug power cables are generally of a length close to 50 cms and therefore leave all the latitude for that.

A shelf keeps unplugged pedals close at hand. This pedalboard took me 13 full days to complete. It is made of three different species (beech, stone pine, and ash). The tops are finished with beeswax; the other parts to Danish oil. The sculpture motifs are of scandinavian inspiration, of the art of Queyras, and my own inspiration. All assembly is entirely traditional (no screws)!
