This bedhead (the second) took me almost two months to make. It is made of beech and ash, as well as walnut, sycamore and brass inserts.
The central part is inspired by Gothic art (cathedral rose window). The three rays each have a rosette of Queyras art. The interlacing of the outer crown is inspired by Celtic art.
I added an extra medieval touch with forged nails. Textures are also present in different places.
The finish after sanding is with copal varnish. It is made for bedding 160 cm wide. A little wider so that you can move the bedding without problem. The base keeps it pressed against the wall (no drilling necessary).
